Mediation

Here you will find information regarding Mediation.  Click on the links below to learn more. (This information is made available from the Mediation & Training Collaborative, Greenfield, MA)

Benefits of Mediation

Mediation provides an alternative to the traditional adversarial separation and divorce process.  Mediation often saves time and reduces rather than increases conflict, which is of particular importance when children are involved.  A trained, neutral mediator can assist you in creating a win-win separation or divorce agreement.

Mediation lets you maintain control

Mediation is voluntary and confidential.  It takes place in a private, informal setting, rather than in a public courtroom.

You make the decisions.

Mediation benefits children

Mediation reduces conflict and helps ease the pain and confusion of divorce for your children.

Your mediated agreement can be filed with the court

The mediated agreement can be given to your lawyer or filed directly with the court.
