Filing Fees Probate and Family Court Department Uniform Fee Schedule Effective July 1, 2003 Below is a comprehensive, alphabetical list of Probate and Family Court Department Fees. Any party entering a complaint, petition or other civil action in which an initial filing fee is payable and to which a separate docket number or suffix is assigned shall pay to the register of the court a  surcharge ($15.00) in addition to the fee otherwise required by law. Please note that in any action for which there is no fee charged, all associated fees and costs are not charged for that action; e.g., in a paternity action, the usual fees for a summons, an attested copy of the record, and a Certificate of the Judgment would not be charged.
